Draper Esprit is now Molten Ventures.  #MakeMorePossible Molten’s rebranding from Draper Esprit represents the huge growth the firm has seen in the past 24 months.  The Molten name is rooted in our team’s long experience of transformation – both our own, and our successful efforts to help their portfolio do the same.  The name was inspired by the natural process of State Change, by which matter is transformed via the injection of energy – , the first transformation is from solid to molten form.  The Molten team believes that venture capital works best when VCs give their energy to help companies succeed. This ‘energy’ goes far beyond providing just capital, it also means experience, knowledge, relationships and a commitment for the long term.   "The time has come to try something fresh. I'm delighted to announce that I've joined Molten Ventures to Head up Third Party Funds. My relationship with Molten started many years ago when Simon Cook and Stuart Chapman set up the fund and spun-out from Cazenove. It's been an incredible journey to watch and a real honour to be joining the team for the next phase of growth. Stuart Chapman has been an incredible mentor to me and provided me with much needed support (and cakes) over the years. I'm thrilled to get the chance to work with Stu again, the exec team and all the fantastic people at Molten. The newly-created role demonstrates Molten's ongoing commitment to both innovation within VC and to expanding its impact through a variety of targeted investment funds which complement its publicly-listed core model.
